Description

• Origin: Aka Italian plum. Said to have originated in Lombardy, Italy in the early 1800s. It was introduced to Germany by merchant Fellenberg in about 1823 and known in England since 1826
• Pollination: Self-pollinating
• Fruit: Large oval-shaped fruit. Freestone
• Skin: Green yellow to dark purple, black
• Flesh: Yellow, firm, tender, fin-grained. Fruits have firm and a little juicy flesh with a sweet, subacid flavour
• Harvest: Late
• Uses: Eating, canning, preserving
