Werribee Park Heritage Orchard

Volunteer Information

Come Volunteer at Werribee Park Heritage Orchard

Werribee Park Heritage Orchard provides horticultural training in preserving, growing and selling rare and heritage fruit trees. Volunteers can experience and develop hands-on skills in grafting, pruning, tree planting, fruit picking and tasting, and nursery and orchard maintenance.

All this while spending time with like-minded people!

The groups meet between 9:30 – 12:30 every Friday morning and the first Sunday of each month. Other activities include working with School and corporate groups, participating in community events, and running two Heritage Fruit Tree festivals each year. New volunteers are always welcome, no experience required.

Lunch?

After a rewarding morning in the orchard, you’re warmly invited to stay a little longer. Enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch beneath the trees, or take a short, scenic stroll to Joseph’s Restaurant at Lancemore Mansion for a more formal dining experience, the perfect way to round out a Friday well spent.
