- Origin: Thought to be of English origin. It was mentioned in 1665. Received by the National Fruit Trials in 1949 from Wrest Park, Bedfordshire
- Fruit: Medium sized, oval-shaped fruit, Freestone
- Skin: Yellow-green / Purple red
- Flesh: Firm, juicy yellow flesh which is a little sweet and subacid
