• Origin: Raised by Rivers of Sawbridgeworth and introduced in 1876. It was awarded a First Class Certificate by the RHS in 1880
• Pollination: Angelina, President, Jefferson
• Fruit: Large oval. Semi-freestone / clingstone
• Skin: Deep purple plum
• Flesh: Fruits have fairly firm, rather dry yellow flesh with a subacid to little sweet flavour
• Harvest: Late
• Uses: Cooking? Preserving?
