- Background: Originated in Harrow, Ontario, Canada. Introduced by Richard E. C. Layne, Agriculture Canada, Research Station in 1977. Has frost hardy late blooms, resists brown rot, bacterial spot and perennial canker. Fruits ripens fully on tree without dropping. Doesn’t transport well
