Description
- Harvest: Mid to late
- Colour: Yellow skin and red overlay and very little fuzz
- Fruit: Freestone, medium to large roundish fruit with slight pointed end, skin – red blush on yellow (slight green on some) background, flesh – yellow
- Taste: Yellow flesh with a firm texture, very juicy large fruit succulent yellow flesh. It has a wonderfully sweet taste and aroma
- Uses: An excellent peach for eating and canning
- Background: Origin an old-time heirloom variety – the million dollar peach, orchards began in Glastenbury, Connecticutt in 1866, when John Howard Hale and his brother, George, cultivated their grandfather’s seven peach trees
