Description

• Origin: Discovered in a wood in Nottinghamshire by Bess Pool. It was first recorded in 1824 and introduced by nurseryman, Pearson, of Chilwell, Nottinghamshire. This apple flowers very late and is therefore useful in areas prone to frost

• Flesh: Red on yellow skin. Yellowish flesh. Fruits have rather dry, slightly coarse-textured flesh with a sweet and pleasant flavour
