Description

Roman AppleWerribee Park Heritage Orchard houses a gifted Roman Apple tree on the grounds. This tree is said to be of a Roman Apple variety, that dates to the original apples eaten during the Roman Empire. We haven’t done any genetic sampling (if any interested parties would like to fund such an undertaking please contact us) but if so it would make it our oldest variety. As the tree is still relatively young, we haven’t many notes about the apples it produces. We’ll keep you posted.
